The other day, I was reading over a blog post on another site where the author was postulating about the present economic crisis in the US and the failed bailout that was proposed. As can be expected in any time that is fraught with worry over the future, many people are blogging about that very same topic. All in all, nothing too surprising there. You might even be wondering why I’m bothering to write a blog post about it. Well, I’ll tell you why. You knew that was coming, didn’t you?

This person began their blog post by essentially saying “While I haven’t been following the economic crisis and I don’t know how Congress works but I still think the Republicans are to blame and here’s why.” They then proceeded to get into rather ridiculous reasons why the Republicans were not only to blame for the economic crisis but also to blame for suggesting the bailout in the first place.

Now, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I certainly can’t and won’t stop someone from voicing their’s. But is it too much to ask that if you feel the need to share your opinion with the world that you at least make an informed one? In the present age of technology we live in that provides us with all the wonders of the internet, is it really so hard to do the teeniest bit of research on a subject before spouting your mouth off to any and all who are otherwise forced to listen? By all means, form any opinion your little heart desires. Just have facts to back it up. At the very least, have some logical reason for having the opinion you do that isn’t based entirely upon your precious little feelings. If you don’t, don’t blame me when your fragile little views come crumbling down as I gleefully rip them into tiny little shreds.

I suppose I could thank the morons who give knee jerk reactions and opinions on things they know absolutely nothing about. It certainly makes them easier to spot and avoid.
